FABULOUS WOMENS RUN GROUP

 

We offer two program options.  

  1. Tuesday evenings 6 -7 pm  – year round program
  2. Wednesday morning 6:30 – 7:30 am – available Session 1 (November – January). Session 2 (February – April) Session 3 (April – July)   each session is 12 weeks.

DESCRIPTION

These run groups are for all levels of ability. There will be a walk/run group and a run group. Each will be given a specific task to be done for the hour. Training might be running hills, another night maybe track work. Watch your run times get faster!  Maybe your goal is to run your first 5K! You can be sure to accomplish whatever you set out to do!

TUESDAY EVENING YEARLY RUN GROUP

WHO CAN JOIN:

All walking and running levels. The group will split up into two groups. Walk/Run and Run. Each group will get a different workout based on their level of experience.

DAY: Every Tuesday
TIME: 6 pm – 7 pm

COACH: Maura Malia    

Maura has been active in the local wellness & fitness scene for many years.  She is a licensed massage therapist and owns Heaven & Earth Day Spa in Windham.  She has been running for over 30 years and been participating in marathons and half marathons for over 10 years.  She has also recently started competing in triathlons.  Her passion is helping people learn, grow and achieve more than they ever believed they could.

INCLUDES:

  • Group Training with some specific race training – Tuesdays 6 – 7 pm
  • Monthly Run Workout or Monthly Walk/Run Program
  • Race Support from sheJAMs members and coaches
  • All Women venue that encourages and supports the spirit
  • Other free and structured cross training opportunities for members
  • Winter In-Door Track Program – January – March – USM Gorham Fieldhouse 

YEARLY RUN GROUP: COST $175  members

RUN GROUP SHORT PROGRAM: COST $100  members $125 non-member trial

COACH: Susan Shepard

Susan is an ACE certified personal trainer, a TRX Qualified Group Instructor and TRX Qualified Functional Fitness Instructor. She lives in Cumberland with her husband, three kids and two dogs. Susan has completed ten marathons and also enjoys swimming, biking and horseback riding. As an avid runner and athlete she understands the role that strength training plays in a healthy lifestyle and how it can help to avoid injury. Susan loves to create a fun and challenging workout environment that welcomes all levels.

 

This class is offered for 12 week sessions.
