Swim, bike and run with friends! Training for the Tri for a CURE is as much fun as doing the actual race! All levels encouraged to participate. For those who are new to the sport, train with coaches who will show you how to cross the finish line and have fun doing it!
Swimming will start in the Casco Bay YMCA Pool May 3rd at 6pm. Pool fees are $4 per person. Open water swims will start in June and will take place at SMCC at the Tri for a CURE race start! Bring your wetsuit, goggles, and cap! Learning to open water swim is much different than lap swimming in a pool.
Bike training will be filled with information too! Some maybe a lectures on bike maintenance, other will be riding …. We can ride the Tri for a CURE course or go on a long ride through Falmouth & Cumberland!
Run night we will join the women’s run group! The group will be split up by level of ability. There will be a walk/run group and a run group. Each will be given a specific task to be done for the hour. One night might be running hills, another night maybe track work. Watch your run times get faster!
We will be meeting for the run at World Gym, 265 Marginal Way. Great parking, bathrooms & showers are available!
All athletes will get a monthly workout plan to follow for other training days!
